Puppy socialisation is a vital process that lays the foundation for a dog's future behaviour and emotional wellbeing. By exposing puppies to a variety of experiences, environments, people and other animals in a controlled and positive manner, we help them develop confidence and adaptability. Socialisation should be undertaken during the early stages of a puppy's life, as this is when they are most receptive to new experiences.
Effective socialisation involves gentle introductions to everyday sights, sounds and situations, always at a pace that suits the individual puppy.

The aim is to create positive associations and prevent the development of fear or anxiety. Each puppy is unique, so the process must be tailored to their temperament and comfort level, ensuring that every encounter is enjoyable and stress-free.
Through careful and consistent socialisation, puppies grow into well-adjusted adult dogs who are comfortable in a wide range of circumstances. This not only enhances their quality of life but also strengthens the bond between dog and owner, setting the stage for a harmonious relationship built on trust and understanding.
Unlike puppy classes your puppy will join a well balanced gentle group of dogs – all breeds, and sizes which enables them to experience “real Life” situations within a safe and caring environment.
We teach them how to introduce themselves properly to other dogs, how to play safely with big dogs, small dogs and anything in between.
We also teach coping skills, these are vital for a new puppy to learn, examples are:
What do I do if a dog doesn’t want to play with me?
What do I do if I don’t want to play with a dog
I am shy
I want every dog to play with me
The importance of recall and other situations that will not be found in an indoor environment.
These places are limited so please contact if you would like a place or more information.
Groups are never larger than 4 at a time. You are welcome to join, or I can take the puppy with me also teaching the importance of separation.
All puppies need to have been fully vaccinated as they will be in the company of other dogs (all of whom will also be fully vaccinated) and exposed to woods and parks.
Puppy classes are not currently running, but they will be launching soon.
